Toronto 45 Parliament Data Centre

Project Description

The Design-Build-Lease of this state-of-the-art data centre facility was managed by Urbacon from start to finish. Complex approvals included negotiation of a significant land exchange with the City of Toronto, aimed at preserving Canada’s First Parliament site and required a multi-jurisdictional design review. The purpose-built facility provides highly secure data hosting for the colocation market. The data centre has a capacity of up to 16 MVA in a five-storey structure. The critical infrastructure was built in a phased approach, in 2.5 MW increments. All MEP infrastructure is located on the upper floor with data floors located below and each data floor is 3700 SM.
